Representatives of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, local and regional authorities and media took part in an informational meeting for the presentation of project “Smart Cross-border Entrepreneurship Accelerator” (SEA), which was held at the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) in Blagoevgrad. The project is implemented by the Business Information and Consulting Center – Sandanski and the American University in Bulgaria under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
During the meeting, the members of the project team from AUBG and BICC – Sandanski presented the opportunities to participate in SEAcelerator – a complex training and mentoring program to support potential entrepreneurs, which aims to turn the idea into a working business. The accelerator that will function as part of the project will continue over a course of four months, during which the participants will go through training and mentoring support and meetings with entrepreneurs and business leaders. In the final stage of the Accelerator, the finalists from Bulgaria and Greece will have the opportunity to present their business ideas to potential investors and stakeholders at an international conference and brokerage event.
