Local entrepreneurs and government officials gathered in Blagoevgrad on July 21 to discuss the future of business development in the region. The focus group meeting at the American University in Bulgaria’s Skaptopara Campus was part of the Smart Cross-border Entrepreneurship Accelerator (SEA), under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
Among the participants were the Director for Economic Development at the Blagoevgrad Municipality, as well as start-up founders from Blagoevgrad, Bansko and more. All shared excitement about the opportunities SEA will offer in the upcoming months and its part in developing the budding entrepreneurial ecosystem in the area.
The focus group was lead by Rossen Petkov and Evelina Van Mensel, professors at the American University in Bulgaria.
